Not enough Time?-Jackson, MI
I live in the Jackson MI area, I would like to place out an offer to accommodate your lack of time to accomplish the tasks and needs of your daily life. For example, assembly of furniture, bicycles, and installation of wall mount of flat screen televisions. Need to pick the boat up from storage, or take to storage. Need transport to airport. Designated driver? I have no set rates, all is negotiable. Grocery shopping? I have a large SUV( with hitch), and fuel efficient vehicle.

Louder garage door.
The small things in life that make your daily life easier, can cause a serious disruption in your life when you do not take appropriate steps of prevention. When I finished my obligation with the US Army, I was already working for myself installing garage doors, and electronic openers. The business of Garage door installation is cut and dry. Either the door is aged made of wood and is being held together with years of applications of paint, or your oldest decided to place the car in drive instead of the few seconds to identify the little "R". I slowly transitioned from the installing of the Doors, and strictly went to Remote controlled openers. Logistically easier to manage weight wise and less space requirements. Let me step back and say that I was given a break by one Builder in Central Texas. I lived in a new sub division, and want everyone to know who I was and wanted to know my neighbors. If I seen an opportunity to help, I would. So that being said, I installed, or help inform and instruct the new home owner how to install the Electronic openers to there Brand new homes, and yes for free. (no one wants a neighbor that want to sell them something right?) So, the last house on the dead end/undeveloped portion of the sub division, was the last install I was going to do, due to my own work load. In some random chance of luck the primary builder of the Sub Division had come down the road, and approached me said he has seen me installing openers and want to know who I worked for, and how much I charged. I stated that I have been work for myself, and these houses I have been installing for free just to prevent unwanted damages, frustration, and one additional bill to spend money on an already taxing investment. The builder called me a darn fool, and wanted to know what I would charge him (right on). I stated 60. per install, he would have to furnish the opener and have the electricians wire the garage for sensors, and wall buttons. The builder was producing 365 homes a year, what a break. He was also the President of the Home Builders Assoc., which in return connected me to 178 builders.
What I want to focus on was the openers. The opener has moving components that are affected by temperature change. With heat there is expansion, and contraction with cold. The lubricates tend to stiffen, or thicken with colder temperatures. What happens the opener will have to use more force to close the garage door. If the force is not adequate, the door will travel in the down unspecific distance and come back up. Have you ever came home and your garage door was up? The solution is on the back of openers, it has a down force adjustments that can be adjusted by a small screwdriver. For cold weather the down force would have to be adjusted for more force, and when spring comes around the down force can be backed off.

If you have any questions I would love to help, and talk through a solution.
